Suede, Stripes, & Morehead Bell Tower

Woah, it's been a while. I started college, and I had no idea how busy I would be. But I'm going to try to blog more! I'm at the Morehead Bell Tower, and if you didn't know, I'm now a student at UNC Chapel Hill! Get ready to see more of the beautiful campus in my posts.

I've been loving the suede trend lately. It's so soft and it gives a normal piece of clothing a little something extra. Here I'm pretty much wearing suede all over. I'm wearing a striped shirt that has some faux suede accents, a faux suede buttoned skirt (with pockets!), and my new favorite black suede boots.

Shirt: Ralph Lauren, TJ Maxx Skirt: TJ Maxx

Boots: Steve Madden, DSW

In the spirit of UNC CH, I'm wearing favorite ram ring that I literally never go out without.

Ring: gift Nail polish: Sally Hansen No Hard Feelings

It got dark really fast... Guess that comes with the changing of the seasons.

Anyone else stoked that autumn is finally here? Colorful leaves, crisp air,
boots, hot chocolate and tea, warm coats and scarves, oh, the list goes on!

Blowing Rock, Linville Caverns, & Crabtree Falls

This was my last trip with my family before I went off to college. We drove to the mountains to enjoy the view from the Blowing Rock. We also explored the Linville Caverns (it was too dark to take many pictures, especially when we experienced complete darkness) and hiked down to see the Crabtree Falls. There was a lot of scary winding roads and intense hiking, but it was all totally worth it.

I love hay bales. I don't know why but I do.

The only good picture I could get in the cavern

Hope you had (or are currently having) a fun summer!

Trip to Italy: Venice

I've never been to a place that is remotely like Venice. The cars you would usually see in a city are replaced with a scattering of boats and gondolas. The only streets are made of stones, and wherever you go you'll end up crossing a beautiful bridge with an amazing view of cute canals, quaint apartment buildings, and stunning architecture. If you get lost (like we did), it's nice to experience the  winding alleyways without the constant bustle of people.

There's always some sort of live music playing, whether it's by a band performing in front of a restaurant in the main square or opera singers and accordion players playing on a gondola. The graffitied walls and small shops filled with their famous glassware and masks really express how artistic this charming floating city is.

Excuse the hair...it was quite windy
