NC State Fair

I got to visit the NC State Fair with some friends, so here are some pictures if you're curious!

          Can I just talk about how much I LOVE THESE? Right when I saw them I knew it was love. Quirky animals dressed like humans and/or doing human-like things? That's right up my street. 

          

   Here are just a few of the prints I like in particular 

(although they're all so good it's hard to choose!):

   The fact that they are drawn on dictionary paper gives them an older fashioned feel and makes them more unique while the subjects of the drawings keep them modern. It seem like the drawings on the words are the characters that have popped right out of the pages of a storybook. These pieces are so detailed and very well drawn, and the subjects of these prints seem to have so much character, making these works that much more delightful. 

Overall, a perfect mix of adult sophistication and childlike charm.

Suede, Stripes, & Morehead Bell Tower

          Woah, it's been a while. I started college, and I had no idea how busy I would be. But I'm going to try to blog more! I'm at the Morehead Bell Tower, and if you didn't know, I'm now a student at UNC Chapel Hill! Get ready to see more of the beautiful campus in my posts.

          

          I've been loving the suede trend lately. It's so soft and it gives a normal piece of clothing a little something extra. Here I'm pretty much wearing suede all over. I'm wearing a striped shirt that has some faux suede accents, a faux suede buttoned skirt (with pockets!), and my new favorite black suede boots.

It got dark really fast... Guess that comes with the changing of the seasons.

    Anyone else stoked that autumn is finally here? Colorful leaves, crisp air,

     boots, hot chocolate and tea, warm coats and scarves, oh, the list goes on!
