Great News! I'm College-bound

This picture is so cliche it cracks me up. Cue the singing angels and dramatic music.

I made it into my top college! I still can't seem to wrap my head around it. I waited anxiously for months for them to release the admission decisions, mentally preparing myself for the worst, and they finally released it this week. When I saw the acceptance letter, I couldn't help but shed a few happy tears and do the classic jump-around-and-scream. A huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Applying for college was such a stressful time, and I was so afraid that I wouldn't get in and that my hard work would have been for nothing. I'd spent all my years of high school with it's name starred on the top corner of my bathroom mirror as a motivator and a goal, and now that I've finally reached it, I feel like everything I did over the years was worth it. Hard work, however unpleasant at the time, does pay off.

I'm not going to tell you guys which college it is yet until I hear back from my other schools and make an official decision (ooh, the suspense!), but so far it's looking like that's where I'll be spending the next four years of my life. So get ready for some college adventures later on this year!

Friday Fun & Doggie Snuggles

Going back to school was...ugh. But we did get to have our delicious senior breakfast (my bagel was heavenly) and after school my friends and I went to visit our friend at her new job as a barista. Later we also had a little get-together to watch Impractical Jokers (hilarious and guaranteed to give you second hand embarrassment), and I got to fulfill one of my greatest dreams. To snuggle up with a doggie. I have always loved dogs and wanted one of my own, but that couldn't happen, so I got to borrow my friend's dog, Calypso. I basically spent the whole time playing tug-o-war with her and her squeaky frog toy and getting attacked with slobbery dog kisses. Time well spent, I'd say.

*Sorry for the quality of the pictures, my phone camera doesn't handle the dark very well.*

Being a pillow and getting photobombed, just how I like it.

Puppy love <3
Is there anything better than having a dog fall asleep in your arms? No, I didn't think so.
Some beautiful flowers...random, but they're too pretty not to show. Hopefully it makes up for the quality of the other pictures.
Have a lovely week!

Comfy Chic

// Vila Coralla trench coat - ASOS // shirt + pants - Target // shoes - Keds // sunglasses - ELLE //

It was quite windy when we were shooting this, but we still managed to get a couple shots (although keeping my hat on was a struggle)! I just got my Vila Coralla trench coat from ASOS and I absolutely love it. The color can go with almost anything, it fits like a glove, and the asymmetrical zip makes for a nice touch. Also, can we have a moment to appreciate inside pockets? It has an inside breast pocket, which I am tempted to store a small black wallet so I can whip it out and say "FBI" like in the movies.

The shirt and pants were a result of a trip to Target. After seeing one of my best friends wearing jogger pants, I knew I needed to get a pair. They look so comfy but still stylish at the same time. I'm not exaggerating when I say that these pants are the most comfortable things I have ever worn (and they have pockets!). Think stylish pajama pants. The shirt and pants are actually several sizes larger than my usual, but loose equals comfy, right? Personally, I think they look better in bigger sizes too. I've also been loving the new trend of white shirts with thin stripes. It's a classic look that is clean, simple, and universally flattering. I added my bright blue Keds for a pop of color to contrast the more neutral colors of the outfit, and finished it off with my hat and sunglasses.

Who said comfy can't look cool?

It's Break Time

I finished finals this week, which means now it's time to take a break before school starts again. I do have to finish some required reading for next semester (hence why I'm reading these particularly English-y books), but I figured I could have productive relaxation time. I just need a scented candle (this one's in the scent Pomelo Lime), some nail polish, reading material, and comfy seating to have a good time. And of course, can't forget tea!

How do you relax?

OOTD #2

ASOS had a huge sale for new years, so I decided to cash in. I've never shopped at ASOS before, but wow, they have the most fashionable clothing. I pretty much browse through the site going "I want that...and that...and that...aaand now I wish I had money." I don't think I've ever found a clothing store website that I spend more time on than ASOS. My sister was actually kind enough to pay for my order as a late-Christmas present (thanks Jenny!). I was so excited when it came in that I decided to share it with you!

// dress + blazer - ASOS // bag - Nine West // shoes - Sam Edelman //

Is it just me or does it look like I have a hat for a head?

I'm wearing the ASOS Shift Dress with Dropped Waist in Texture along with a Club L Relaxed Blazer in Crepe. I wasn't sure about ordering clothes online (this was my first time), especially with UK sizing and all, but they fit perfectly! I really wanted a comfy, loose dress and a casual blazer for the new year, and I'm happy to say that I have found the ones. They're both still on sale, so if you want them, go go go!

A New Year a New Design

Happy New Year!

Notice anything different?

I decided to change my blog design with the changing of the year. A new year a new blog design! I will miss my bubble picture header, but I'm liking the cleaner, more fun look of the new design, if that makes any sense. I added more to the sidebar, so go check it out!

What do you think? Let me know!
